TrawelltribeE was born from a shared vision to redefine the way we travel by fostering a deeper connection between travelers and local communities. Founded by Rufus Raja Dhas, a seasoned hotelier with over 25 years of experience, and Shobana Pauline, an innovative professional from Robert Bosch, TrawellTribe is more than just a travel platform—it’s a movement towards sustainable, community-centered tourism.

At its core, TrawelltribeE aims to ensure that tourism benefits all stakeholders, from local communities to visitors. Rufus, with his vast experience in hospitality, envisioned a platform that goes beyond the typical tourist experience, one that immerses travelers in the authentic cultures, landscapes, and stories of the places they visit. Shobana, sharing this passion for meaningful travel, partnered with him to bring this idea to life.

The platform’s development was a true collaborative effort. Alen J Dominic, leading a team of passionate students, played a key role in shaping the project. Together, they worked alongside Tes Maria, who led the Tour Itinerary Team to craft unique and authentic travel experiences, and Aljo, who managed finances, ensuring the platform’s long-term sustainability.

Supported by the Innovation and Entrepreneurship Development Centre (IEDC) at SJIHMCT Pala, TrawelltribeE partnered with local communities and governance bodies, including grama panchayaths, police, and tourism departments, to promote responsible travel. Their goal: to empower local businesses, aboriginal communities, tour guides, and accommodations, ensuring that tourism has a positive and lasting impact.
